Ernie’s Cottage

Waterfront cottage with kitchen & patio

3-Bedroom Bimini Cottage • 2 bathrooms • Sleeps 8

Ernest Hemmingway called Bimini home for quite some time, enjoying the thrill of big game fishing and evening hours in the Compleat Angler.  The Angler hotel/bar has since burned down but Hemmingway’s presence there is still felt.  He worked on To Have and Have Not, wrote some of his books including “Islands in the Stream”, but mostly he fished aboard his boat Pilar.  Hemingway was attracted to Bimini by tales of the incredible fishing available in the Gulf Stream, the legendary “river” of warm water that rushes north past the Bahamas.
