The Island

Just 53 miles east of Miami, visitors are drawn to its turquoise waters for diving, snorkeling, bone and big game fishing, miles of white-sand beaches, historic towns and natural attractions. Bimini exudes island charm and Biminites are friendly and welcoming.

Bimini meaning “two islands” in the Lucayan language, is comprised of North and South Bimini.  North Bimini island is more densely populated with Alicetown the center of shops, restaurants, marinas, local attractions and beautiful stretch of unpopulated beaches.

Further north, through the concrete arch is the Hilton and Resort with all its modern amenities.  South Bimini island has the airstrip and is much quieter made up primarily of private residences, sandy roads and nature trail and a stretch of pristine beach.  South Bimini is accessible by a quick boat ferry from south end of North Bimini. Bring a bike and you can explore the whole South Bimini island.
